Facilities

Kampoeng Padi is built upon a mix of Javanese and Balinese architecture without forgetting modern facilities in the serenity of Sundanese traditional village surroundings. We are located at Desa Pawenang, Nagrak, Cibadak, Sukabumi, which is 80 kilometers or 2.5 hours away drive from Jakarta, and the time will get even shorter after the completion of Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll highway in 2015.

Kampoeng Padi spans in 3 hectare of fertile paddy field and consists of 5 resorts; Rumah Limas, Rumah Miring, Rumah Jineng, Rumah Lembah 1 and 2 with its own unique design, comfort and history. Enjoy hundreds of authentic Indonesian and South-East Asian arts and antiques – collected personally by the owner whom is an avid traveler and arts collector.

Kampoeng Padi’s signature is the 18th century Arjuna Joglo, originally located somewhere near Ponorogo, East Java. This majestic structure is built without a single use of nail and made of a very very very old teak wood. It is believed that the top most wood plank is implanted with pure gold for the strength of the structure. Now, it is the place for you to have your meals, meetings and seminars.

Kampoeng Padi cooks you authentic Indonesian food using the freshest ingredient available from our own garden. Menu is always ever changing, just like how our mom cooks. However, you are able to put a request and Kampoeng Padi will be more than happy to serve you as an whenever possible.

Kampoeng Padi has a huge collection of unique tropical plants ranging from a sour nam-nam fruits that grows just above the tree’s root to the unknown mega-tall hardwood tree that is visible from far. We don’t harvest all of the fruits and reserve some for our wilderness friends like squirrels, birds, bats, iguana and others. In one lucky day, you can observe an eagle that flies faraway from Mount Salak in search for food.

You are not our guest, but part of Kampoeng Padi family in a Desa Pawenang community.
